just reached home after watching the movie. it is a movie based on the true life story of Amelia Earhart.
and i am so amazed and inspired by this woman pilot! The saddest thing is that she is not around anymore. :( she disappeared across the Pacific Ocean in 1937. She was the first woman who flew solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
how inspiring! i LOVE movies which inspire me! Not just during the show, but even long after that! That kinda inspiration and amazment just rubs on you, and leaves you in wonder and awe! i admire her courage. even when everyone around her told her it was impossible for her to fly, she wouldn't let them turn her around. She stood by what she wanted.
She wanted to fly. not for the world to see, but for herself.
some may see her adventurous attempts at flying as stubborness, selfishness, recklessness. in one of the scenes, one reporter asked her something like,"some say that your recklessness exceed your capabilities. would you agree with that?"
in response, she said something like "reckless, no. i am a flyer. flying is my passion and its my adventure."

in the closing, this following line left me in awe.
"all of us have our oceans to cross, as long as you have the heart to."
i truly identify with that. i know my oceans to cross. i know i need the heart and courage. after watching this show, i think i've found some courage and inspiration.
