even as i "grief" over my costly mistake, God is good!
cos there is joy in other areas of work.
the gals whom we just finished STEP-UP with, came by our centre last fri. Though there were only 4 of them, i'm glad that they came bcos it showed that we had successfully built rapport with them. Now, they feel comfortable to interact with us and trust us. I find this very affirming. =)
then yest, a group of 6 students came for Sow and Reap event at G1. It was an evangelistic event and all of them are pre-Christians. I din expect them to make it cos i called some of them and none said they would come. So when Ps Ron told me about it, i was surprised. Though it was my off day, i went for the event, and i did not regret it! So i went wth Ps Ron to fetch them from Peninsula Plaza. Ian had a nose bleed and looked so pale that Ps Ron wanted to take him to the doc. We were so worried for him! In the end, after drinking some milo, he was much better. And as i joined them for the games and became their unofficial leader, and i saw them had fun and fully participate in the activities, i was amazed and touched. And they were very genuine people.
what touched me most that evening was what they said and did for Joshua A (their leader from Grace). All of us had gotten our food except Joshua. When all of us were sitted, and when Joshua came back, all of them, in perfect unison, said with one accord, "Thank you Joshua!" When he came back with the empty plate, we told him to go get some food, but he said later. Then....... Ian gave one of his "precious" chicken wings to Joshua. He said " nah, give u." Joshua declined but Ian insisted. He willingly gave up his chicken wing. So nice and sweet of him isnt it?
=) all these made my heart smile. these youths are so endearing. whenever they call your name. whenever they offer you something. whenever they take initiative to talk to you. when they like you.
and they keep me going. :)
i feel a renewed sense of purpose and meaning in the work i do. I know I'm in here for a reason.
Dear God, pls continue to show me Your way. Use me as you will.
