whenever we are so quick to complain about our circumstances or situation, lets not forget there are many others who are so much less fortunate. i saw the uncle who always bask at novena underpass singing beautiful christian songs. . he seems to have found satisfaction.
i looked at friends who worry about their living expenses and bugdet their spending...and i am in no lack. i saw the cleaning auntie in the office who goes about her duties everyday with diligence, not having much financially but nevertheless still gets by and lives on. i talked to "A" who comes to us for biscuits and milo and food rations, who is out of a job and is very poor. A few pieces of biscuits and a cuppa of hot milo fill her.
i think back on how i used to scrimp and starve, worry about $$$ all the time and crying over it.. and now, it isnt something i think about consciously. i have enough.
and i am learning to be content. u know now i can go shopping, knowing that i have nothing more to buy that i do not have. Kinda strange feeling...but also an assured feelinbg. and cos now i have enough, i am looking at ways i can bless others. yes financially. thinking of the people who needs $$$. and how i should allocate my tithes.
contentment is really learned. and comes with gratitude. i am thankful that i know i am actually much more fortunate than many out there.
Dear Father, use me as u will to bless others. All that i have is yours, teach me to use it well, and make it profitable.
I went cycling today with Gary, Wing Sun, Ed, Lucy and Natalie! (Lucy and Nat are new friends) actually the guys and Nat bladed while Lucy and I cycled. Cycled a full 2hours. Hmmm...think i should have covered at least 5 click? hmmmm...not bad.. at least i get to sweat.. heee...
4 guys and 1 girl = bad combination (cos guys always help their own kind. *tsk tsk* poor me!!!)
oh i bought an astroboy tee! never had one b4... so kinda cool i think!
