well, i am still hanging over from the recent retreat. 5 days seems to really fly...and now i'm back to reality...and well...virtually here. ha.
i really benefited much from this retreat and God really refreshed all of us. Joyce!!!!! MUST Join next yr!!!!
For me pesonally, God bestowed upon the gift of tongues!!!! the gift of tongues means the ability to speak in a new language that u do not know. It is called a gift because it is not a self-taught language, but a new language that is spoken as led by the Holy Spirit. U dont know the meaning of what u say, but u know it doesnt come from yourself.
so now i am really excited about using it!!!! I've always secretly desired God to give me this gift because my friend told me it is very good to have it...and i've always felt weird speaking English when all the rest are speaking in tongues and more so when in a Pentecostal church!!!!
and it is really much more impactful when u pray or praise God speaking in tongues, like what Ps Sam said, it really opens up your spirit to God.
yup, and i have experienced how much more intense my prayers become when i speak in tongues.
other than this gift, i also have the rare opportunity to know new people in church!!! i have made more than 5 friendS!!! SO exciting....and for the 1st time, fellowship means more than just going church together or having meals. Fellowship is unity. When God's people are united, wow, there's no stopping 'em!!!
thou i developed severe rashes during the trip, i still thank God for i know that whatever HE allows to happen, happens for a purpose. Thankfully, bcos of God's assurance as people prayed for me, i did not let it affect me too much. I was still pretty much enjoying myself!!!
A big THANK-YOU to all who prayed for me. I am MUCH better now and most of the rashes have vanished. I was really touched by all of u who didnt avoid me when i had those ugly rashes. Bcos of u, i am affirmed that God's love truly exists. For Jesus did not shun any of the diseased. and u too... i love u guys.. =)
