Yes i thank you Lord For the trials that come my way In the way i can grow each day As i let you lead And i thank you Lord For the patience those trials bring In the process of growing I can learn to care But it goes against the way i am To put my human nature down And let the Spirit take control of all i do Cause when those trials come My human nature shouts the things to do And God's soft prompting can be easily ignored
Yes i thank you Lord For the victory those trials bring In surrender of everything Life is so worthwhile And i thank you Lord When everything is put in place Out in front i can see your face And it's there you belong
This song was often sung in my IJ days....then it was just a song we sang during morning assembly. Now, it holds so much meaning.my days at STC were my happiest and most memorable of my school life. It was there i first heard of God. First found a clique of friends who made me feel belonged. First knew what carefree-ness was. First instrumental to my formation of a girl's identity. First time in knowing how true friends should be like. (if there is such a thing) and yes, now, as i look back... i can truly say; Thank You Lord.
