Hey Joyce, thanks for that sharing...was really glad to know what God did for you. I din expect to see u there...but i'm glad we went! For our God is more than enough for us.
Hope u dont mind me sharing it here. God's good, all the time! All the time, God's good! Amen?
Yes gal, i was also very reluctant to go last fri as I was out shopping with my aunt. It was a more 'desirable' option to go straight home in a cab with her (versus taking 2 buses to church). Moreover, I was so so hungry and hearing from Rosaline that we have to sing and pray first before eating didn't appeal to me. But I went anyway and after the first couple of songs, I could feel my stomach rumbling ever so loudly. I thought I would just leave but then a thought came to me. "Isn't life more than just filling up an empty stomach? And since God clothe and feed the birds and trees, I should trust that He would not let the hunger pangs hurt me." So I lifted everything up to Him after that and I never regretted. I could sense the presence of the holy spirit and teared during the song 'The Potter's Hand'. The line 'I'm captured by your holy calling' touched me deeply and I'm wholeheartedly thankful that I'm able to serve. Although the kids are a handful bunch, I went home every fortnight satisfied and elated...but tired of course. And really drained after trying to get each kid's attention and obedience for 1.5hours. Yup, just a little sharing.

one thing i guess we have learnt is this:
If you've learnt to trust God, you'll know that He will not fail you.
