oh, coming back to today's service which i attended with Joyce, the 1st thing i noticed after finding a seat was my cousin Joey was on stage! and he IS the one leading worship! ok, not that i haven seen him perform before, he's a worship leader in the youth service. but... imagine a 22 yrs old guy leading an entire adult congregation of about 200-300, mostly in their thirties, fourties and fifties? I'm not discriminating about age here. My first thought of this sight was, " Wow. What a great amount of faith in this fine young man for the church to put him there! and what a great amount of faith this fine young man has! And this man is so mightly used by God in such a powerful and favoured position."
Worship leaders have great responsibility and they are at the forefront of the battle with Satan and his evil ones!
So when i saw my cousin, up there, all ready to sing his heart out for God, serving God with what God has given him to the very best, I feel so proud of him! "hey, that's my cousin! Yeah!" haha.cousin, i dunno if u'll read this. but I'm really proud of you. Not only cos of what you did or what u have, but bcos of who u are! U're on fire for God!!! and that heart of yours humbling to serve the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, i believe many are blessed by your faith. Once, again, I'm so proud of you.
and as Ps Calvin showed the church our vision for Grace 2 (our second new church at bukit batok), i cant help but get excited! Grace 2 will have its 1st service in july this year. The figures to be achieved by a certain year, in terms of attendance and people attending cell are not what got me excited. i hate math rem? but what got me excited was, i began to see how Grace 2 can touch the community for God! It seems like everything was ready, we just have to go take the land, claim the harvest! Isnt that exciting? It's a bit like how when you are standing outside your newly bought house and you're so amazed at everything u see? It's empty, all the spaces and all. but u look out of the balcony,u see the great bay view, u see the huge space and being to envision how u want ur room to be, where to place the TV, the bed etc. Exciting?
Of course, while we are excited, we knows it is not going to be easy. There is still a lot of work to be done. You still gotta decide what goes into where, how u are going to get the furniture etc. Okay, analogy stops here. Now we are talking about lives, people who do not know God. So greater wisdom and direction do we need from the Lord and i believe the leadership is preparing the church and has prepared the church for this great task ahead. Even before Grace 2 was built, it was covered with the church's prayers, and up till now, people are still praying. And as i think about the work that God might do thru Grace 2, i'm so glad our church is on the right track, that we are positioned and aligned with God to take possession of the land. And, i am so proud to be in this church cos i can partake in this great plan of God!
I believe God has a purpose for placing each of us in different churches. Perhaps we do not know the purpose yet, perhaps we think God had made a mistake co we dont like our church at all. but if u will just continue to stay, i believe God will reveal his purpose of having you in ur church. perhaps thru u serving in the ministry, many will be blessed thru u? perhaps that by staying, ur church can help u grow and know God more? perhaps u've got a part to play in ur church's revival?
Are you IN God's great plan for the world? Are you plugged into his vision?

His requirements: A heart that knows and loves God. The rest will follow once u meet this; a genuine belief and hope in God. Faithfulness. A humble heart and love for mankind. All are welcome, regardless of race, gender, language, age, religion,school,looks or country.
